through the battlefields of shivering romantics
quiet depressing human souls sing stanzas of drunken poetry,
empty ghosts waking up to the midnight of classic tales,
creating history, we have taken charge of the innocent night.
we have walked, drove, hitch-hiked to reach this stage of utmost diaspora,
we had a few bucks in pockets which suddenly disappeared with the arrival of cigarettes and neatly packed pouches of marijuana,
we now have full control of our lives,
we now chant memories of better days left behind.
cars roll on, leaving enchanting gushes of marvellous wind,
we now have erupted in naked mode, holier than before,
stronger than this old city's dangerously wilfull whores.
whiskey botlles in hand, who will die first is the question we ask,
who will shout at the world forgetting society's careful lines,
we strife to refill our empty glasses of communist sentiments,
where are the lovers, my body feels lonely tonight.
guitars and drums and raging freedom in man's lyrical voice,
we have signed the forms but what will they teach us in this ever increasing noise.
seeking shelter in the dreams of dylan's answers that are still blowing in our wind,
we are the neo Eastern horizon drowning in the Western sunset.
where poverty and hunger has no end to it,
where children dream of fathers and fathers sit under the barren cries of the howling moon,
where roads and railways and cars lead to dreams, dreams and endless dreams,
where thick eyed madness hurls abuses at the clear sky
where bottles lie empty in the hopes of a visible paradise
we have reached the junction of that ongoing fright.
living this time is hard as you should know,
one more glass of whiskey, some ice on it should make us flow.
we dont need a religion where they often ask us to read some book,
i can die with some god in me now that living is a pathetic task to do.
we should now get lost in each others body and soul,
burying my head in your generous bossom i need to find a place called home,
we had some goodness may be you should explore us a little more,
kisses and wishes and her naked body is what i need to feel before i get lost and begin to roam.
we are searching for father,
who taught us generosity,
who gave us all the time to grow up before the weekend dusk,
who made us feel strong and suddenly went weak on their knees when the leaves began to fall in a visible autumn morning,
who wants us nearer, closer in this last hour of life,
but we are senseless, how can we stand with red eyed lust and whiskey breathe travelling our jaw.
mother still has hopes,
she is too good to be true,
we just tore her apart through the holes of gigantic empty dreams.
we have gone too far now,
the road we crossed got lost and the quake sets in with sudden paroxysm of hate,
we are going down,
all of us.
i just think of you dear people,
how happy to have returned home,
how happy to have slept on that exact same place you always do,
we were never happy,
but you are,
you are dreaming away in the midst of this capitalist war,
in the wake of a life that has no reason in it,
in the subtle steps that you take without a philosphy to live by.
i just think of me and dear mother still crying while i gulp this last shot down and digest it with a large drag of life,
i think of father whom we are still searching for, the old man has tired his bones all his life, what a sad case it is.
i think of god and why did he ever fill my mind with all thins muck.
i think of us and i know i shall meet you in neverland,
that state of utopia is what i wait for,
we need to be pure now,
but before that lets have some free verse my friend and a last glass of whiskey will do just fine.
because the beat must go on.....
Very nice arka ...keep it up
